Can I Use One VOOM Account for Multiple Devices?
Just like with streaming, you have the ability to FaceTime or make video calls over the MedallionNet service from Princess. The issue is if the connection speed will allow you to do that. But many people buy the wi-fi as part of the larger Princess Plus or Princess Premier packages.
Unlimited and affordable internet
With the changes we have made we aim to improve guest’s digital experiences compared to prior cruises aboard Holland America Line. This is a direct reflection of listening to guest feedback. Princess Cruises' MedallionNet offers a package sold by the day or for the entire voyage. Wi-Fi is also included in both Princess fare bundles, Princess Plus and Princess Premier. The line's free MSC for Me app offers real-time event and activity listings, an interactive ship map and a chat feature for connecting with other onboard passengers.

Royal Caribbean International Wi-Fi and Internet
If this is the main way you keep in touch with people back home, then it’s a cheap way to stay connected. If guests have standard internet access but want to upgrade to the premium plan, the price is $29.99 per day (covering two devices connected at the same time). The line offers complimentary unlimited internet access throughout its fleet.
(To our knowledge, there are no plans for 2/3 device access). This means when you buy, you have full access to the web. There are no different tiers for different speeds or different tiers for social media, streaming, and web browsing.
Azamara WiFi Packages
If you choose to leave your laptop and tablet at home and your phone in your safe, you can go to the iCafe, which is located on every ship and offers wired internet stations for a fee. This is a good choice for those who prefer to surf with a larger screen, rather than on their phone. The Sailor app allows guests to manage almost every aspect of their cruise, including check in for their cruise, order champagne and plan their time on shore. The Cruise Norwegian app is free to download, but there is a nominal one-time fee to make and send unlimited calls and messages to other passengers while onboard. The Costa App is similar to most cruise lines, offering cruisers the ability to manage their cruise before and during the sailing.
These days, getting away doesn't have to mean feeling disconnected — even on a cruise. Royal Caribbean VOOM, the fastest internet at sea, is now available on every Royal Caribbean ship. With six times faster onboard WiFi speed than you’ll find on any other cruise ships in the world, the internet connectivity is unlike anything you’re ever experienced on a cruise ship. As many cruisers have found the hard way, international phone plans such as AT&T's $10-a-day International Day Pass do not apply to cruise ships at sea. If you let your AT&T phone roam while you're on a vessel, you'll pay $2.05 per megabyte of data — even if your base plan at home offers you unlimited data. You'll also pay $3 per minute to make a call, $0.50 per text and $1.30 to send a photo.

At Carnival, you'll pay $5 per cruise to add a "chat" feature to the line's otherwise free HUB app that will let you communicate via text-like messages with other app-enabled passengers. Norwegian Cruise Line also requires passengers to pay a fee (currently $9.95 per cruise) to use a messaging and calling feature of its Cruise Norwegian app. The old pay-by-the-minute system, which could leave even modest internet users with sky-high bills, is now giving way to simpler and more affordable "all you can browse" plans on many lines. So while onboard cruise Wi-Fi speeds are getting better, they'll never be as fast as at home, where a hard wire brings the signal straight to your router. Several cruise lines are already on board with Starlink.
With a few exceptions on specific ships, Voom Wi-Fi is complementary to Sky and Star Suite guests. Passengers can pay the daily rate or buy a voyage-long package. The prices listed here are for packages bought onboard the ship; get discounts on any package purchased pre-cruise.
Bottom line, it’s tough to say exactly what sort of speed you will experience. That said, with the introduction of Starlink (a satellite internet provider) across many lines, speeds do seem to be trending upward. Celebrity CruisesCelebrity Cruises offers wi-fi service to its passengers across the fleet. Like sister cruise line Royal Caribbean, Celebrity now offers one level of service known as the Premium Wi-Fi Package. Q - Can I check-in for my post cruise flight and print my boarding passes prior to leaving the ship? A - Yes, you can check-in online and print your boarding passes in the Internet Café.
A - Onboard cellular services are available only in international waters (12 nautical miles or more away from shore). The service will automatically shut down when entering a port or getting close to shore. Check the fine print and ensure that you pick the right package as there are some pre-purchase restrictions that are enforced before embarking.
The cellular roaming service works just as it does on land; to be reached, the Cellular feature must be on (airplane mode off). Please contact your cellular provider for specific details on rates. However, Starlink employs a novel approach by deploying a constellation of thousands of small, low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites. These satellites are positioned much closer to the Earth’s surface, significantly reducing the latency and providing faster internet speeds.
In other words, expect to use the internet like you would at your local library. You’ll be able to access everything you need… but maybe not everything you want. One thing to know is that Celebrity trips often have a “Always Included” deal. With this offer, drinks and wi-fi service are already included in your fare.
